Gregory Lewis

 

 

  Gregory’s musical history began at the age of 4 playing trombone and piano lessons beginning at age 7. He took piano lessons for many years.  In 1976 Gregory's professional road experience took off with various Top 40 bands out of Phoenix. In the late 1970's, his progressive style was added to an up and coming Los Angeles' New Wave band, The Dave Musick Set, when he recorded with on their single "Whose got my baby" and performed with them throughout the South Bay. In the late 1990's, he accompanied Framework, a progressive band, produced by Billy Sherwood (ex-member and producer for Yes). Gregory recorded his 1st CD under the Emperor of Emperors indie label in 1993, produced by Stephan V. Mann. In 2007, he toured with Navasota-Rio out of Houston that Gary Katz produced along with Steely Dan. Other artists he supported with his bass lines, were Jeanette Bazzell of The Ikettes, Freddie Poole of The Supremes, blues artist Corey Stevens and Patrick Moraz (former keyboardist for Yes and Moody Blues). His unique style is full of mystery and melody. In addition to being a performer, Gregory is also a composer music and has written over 250 songs with influences ranging from classical to country.
